About Us

Welcome to American Heelers, where a legacy of craftsmanship meets innovation, and a commitment to family values drives our business. We are delighted to share the story of our journey with you.

American Heelers is more than a business; it's a family affair that traces its roots back to 1991 when Alex Romanov, a new emigrant from Kiev, Ukraine, embarked on a remarkable journey by acquiring a small shoe repair shop in Cleveland, OH—Chagrin Shoe Repair. For 25 years, this humble establishment supported Alex's growing family, nurturing a passion for quality craftsmanship and personalized service.

In 2007, the next chapter of our story unfolded when Alex's son, Ilya Romanov, took a step into the digital age by creating a website to streamline the process of shoe repair orders through Chagrin Shoe Repair. Little did we know that this initiative would mark the inception of American Heelers. As we embraced the online platform, we began serving customers beyond the confines of our local community.

However, it wasn't long before Ilya recognized a unique opportunity to address a common concern—Leg Length Discrepancy (LLD). Understanding the importance of a tailored solution, Ilya decided to focus exclusively on LLD, realizing the potential to make a meaningful impact in this niche. This strategic shift laid the foundation for the specialized service that American Heelers is known for today.

Fast forward to the present day, and American Heelers proudly boasts a global community of over 20,000 satisfied customers. Our dedication to precision, innovation, and customer satisfaction has earned us a reputation that spans borders.

At American Heelers, every pair of shoes tells a story, and we are honored to be a part of your journey. We remain committed to providing exceptional products and services that not only stand the test of time but also contribute to your comfort and well-being.
